As I was finishing up a glass of orange juice, I noticed a grey-ish grainy substance at the bottom of the glass. So I swished it around in the backwashy last sip of juice and swallowed it down. Better to get the entire dose of death-inducing poison someone put in my drink while I wasn’t looking. That’s what I always say.
Yesterday, I blew up my site. I crashed it into a wall going 55 mph and everything I did made it worse. What I was *trying* to do was to upload a new domain to my hosting service. What I did was create an interesting mix of the two sites. Then, I started panic-deleting files and, in the end, I had to give up and call my webhosting support center and the nice guy on the other end did not even laugh when I explained my predicament. He tactfully let me finish my shpeal and then let me in on the news…”This is an easy fix. You just need to rename these two files and it’s all back to normal.” And when I asked, defeated, if he would be willing to change them he said, “Yes ma’am.” and did it. Big Sigh. And then he talked me through uploading the other domain so that I don’t mix them up and while it isn’t all finished, I believe he also did some sort of internet voodoo magic to make all of the files go where they are supposed to.
God, I am going to have to learn to stop Panic Clicking.
Also, have I mentioned that my aunt has recently graduated with a degree in internet voodoo magic and so from hence forth, I shall consult her before letting myself do ANYTHING to my cpanel folders.
